Youth Yoga Classes

Yoga and mindfulness classes at your site for pre-school through high school-aged youth

The Oxygen Project offers ongoing yoga and mindfulness classes for preschool through high school-aged youth. Choose one or more classes per week for one or more groups of youth, held during the school day or afterschool hours (8-week or 16-week curriculum sessions are available). Yoga and mindfulness classes may be desk-side or mat-based, and each tailored session incorporates age-appropriate yoga postures and movements, mindfulness games and activities, breath work, and meditation and relaxation techniques that youth can use to manage stress, focus on tasks, and regulate emotional responses.

What your school/ youth agency will receive:

  1. Trauma-sensitive and engaging yoga and mindfulness classes:
    - Choose one (or more) 30-45min classes per week
    - Classes are delivered by a trained yoga instructor
    - Classes follow The Oxygen Project Yoga for Youth curriculum, aligned with social-emotional learning standards

  2. A set of 5 recorded audio breathing breaks (one for each day of the week)

  3. Informational letter that may be shared with staff and families
  4. Pre and post surveys (for youth and staff) to assess needs and effectiveness
