We understand the great amount of time and energy you invest in your work with youth, as well as the need to take care of yourself to prevent high stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout in the field. Having a regular yoga and mindfulness practice encourages the ability to stay grounded and focused in your personal and professional life, allowing for more genuine engagement with others as well as effectiveness and sustainability in your work. We must “fill our cups” in order to meaningfully and effectively serve others, and the practices of yoga and mindfulness offer powerful ways to keep full. Our staff wellness programming includes weekly yoga/mindfulness classes, specifically designed for your site and the work that staff do, as well as other resources to encourage starting or maintaining a consistent and meaningful yoga/ mindfulness practice.
